Do I need a residency permit if I’m an EU citizen?
EU citizens don’t need a visa, but they must register in Spain if staying longer than 90 days. This includes obtaining the EU certificate of registration (Certificado de Registro de Ciudadano de la UE) and registering their address (empadronamiento).
What changed for UK citizens after Brexit?
Since Brexit, UK nationals are considered non-EU citizens and must apply for a visa to live in Spain. Common options include the Non-Lucrative Visa (for retirees or remote workers) and the Golden Visa (for property investors). How long does it take to get Spanish residency?
